27 Days to Midnight, Kristine Kruppa
Giant Squid Books | Cover art by ELIZABETH EARLY
Everyone in Dahlia's world knows when they're going to die. Except her.
In that time, Dahlia must recover her father’s time research, foil a psychotic general’s plot, and learn to survive in a world that will never be the same. But the research holds secrets more dangerous than she had ever imagined. She will have to choose what is most important: revenge, Farren's life, or her own. And time is running out.
Her father has never shown her the pocket watch counting down the days she has left to live. When he sacrifices himself to save her from her scheduled death, Dahlia abandons her comfortable home and sets off after his murderer to uncover the secrets her father died to protect…and the time research that could bring him back to life.
Then she meets Farren Reed. She should hate him. He’s an enemy soldier, a cowardly deserter, and the most insufferable man Dahlia’s ever met. Still, she needs all the help she can get, and Farren is the only chance she has to find the man who murdered her father. But Farren has only twenty-seven days left on his watch.

I've to admit that this is my first time writing a review in English so I apologize before you start reading. This not the way I usually review books (my main language is spanish) but I wanted to try something new so ... here we are.
I've seen a movie with the same 'life-time' thing two months ago (In time starring Justin Timberlake and Amanda Seyfried) but I didn't matter this similarity... I liked it, actually: Kristine knew how to keep me reading the whole time.
There is enough about everything in the story: adventure, action, romance, madness, revenge. The characters are awesome and I really liked Sebastian (The "villain"). At first I thought that he was mad in a normal range (if it exists a normal range ._.), but as I read on I realized that the man was actually insane. Really. This made him the best antagonist I've read this year.
I'm kinda new on this whole reading-in-English world but fortunately my level at understanding it is not bad (writting is another thing, so it's better if we just don't talk about it ._.) so I didn't have any problem with the genre and I can say that 27 days to midnight has became in one of my favorite books this year. I really enjoyed the whole novel. I love the story, I love the world that Kristine Kruppa has created, I love the characters, and I love Farren (Sorry but I couldn't help it. This love-hate relationship between him and Dahlia was so cute and funny♥).

¡Hola, Lorena!
Borrar¡Besos!

Hi!
ResponderBorrarIt looks really good, so I'm pretty sure that I am going to give it a try. You did very well with the review :P (I apologize if I didn't express myself really well, but... whatever, you understand what I mean and you know me :P)
See ya!
I understood perfectly everything you wrote♥ Thank you for reading and your comment♥!
¡Besos!
